Steps
A step board on your van saves your knees, your hips and your back from many extra loads in everyday life. Because especially the larger vans have a height that makes it necessary to take extra larger steps than necessary - or maybe even jump up or down when you get in or out of the car. At Autolock, we carry step boards for the most popular vans, and assemble all over the country. Order your step board today!
If you have first experienced slipping or stumbling when entering your van - or stepping incorrectly when getting out of it - you better understand why you should have a step board fitted to the luggage compartment.
For many of the market's most popular vans are still rear-wheel drive. This means that access to the cargo area is high, so there is room for the PTO shaft and so on under the car. So therefore you need to take a bigger step than is good for both your physique and your safety.
Avoid accidents and extra strain on the back, hips and knees
With a step board into the van, you avoid straining your back, hip and knees unnecessarily every time you get in and out of your van. So even though you're probably joking with colleagues that that bit of height is not an issue for a real man, the extra strain on the musculoskeletal system can end up giving you some dull flaws in the long run. Therefore, it is not so smart to be a "real man" in the long run.
At the same time, you increase the risk of serious injury. Because if the shoes are wet, you slip on the bottom of the car more easily when you get into the car - partly due to the angle and partly due to the increased force that you use on the ascent.
At the same time, it gets further down - and if it is slippery where you step out, it is also easy to get stepped wrong or straight ahead to fall. And if you have something heavy in your hands, you can not take off properly - and may also hit on what you are carrying.
A step board provides an easier and safer entry
But with a step board mounted on the side and / or back of the van, it becomes much easier and much safer to get in and out of your van. For now, you can take an extra step or two on the road - both up and down from the car.
It reduces both the physical load on your musculoskeletal system, and makes getting in and out much safer for you.

Towbar is not a problem
If you have a towbar on your van, you can easily have step boards mounted under the rear doors.
With a Rhino Towstep and Towstep Duo you get a nice and practical two-part step board for mounting under the back doors. It provides space for the towbar in the middle and plenty of room for the sides to rise in and out the back doors.
The design of the Towstep step board also makes it possible to maneuver with the trailer, without damaging the step board.
What about my rear sensor?
If your van has a rear sensor fitted, it is possible to have a special step board that has a built-in rear sensor that fits the car.
The built-in rear sensor can also be used on cars prepared for mounting the rear sensor. Thereby you can beat two birds with one stone, so you get both easier access to the cargo area and rear sensor on the van.
Reduces consequential damage in the event of a collision
Another great advantage of a step board is that it reduces the damage of collisions - both on your own car and what you drive on.
All the step boards that we sell are produced in solid, hard plastic. This means that in most cases only the step board is damaged in a collision. The damage to what you hit also becomes less, because the step board breaks down rather than damaging what hit you. Here, a metal step board usually causes major damage.
Assembly
All our step boards can be easily mounted in less than an hour. However, it takes a little longer if you choose to buy a step board with a built-in rear sensor.
